A museum was indeed needed to show the visceral bond between Torquay (indeed, the whole of Australia!) and surfing. Through its collection of boards and prototypes, its period photos and videos showing the exploits of the masters of the discipline, you will gradually realise the importance of surfing in the hearts of Australians.
