Descrizione
Once a disreputable working-class district of Sydney, Surry Hills has moved up in the world. Its Victorian houses with colourful walls, little squares planted with trees, its old warehouses turned into lofts and art galleries, its barista cafés and decent restaurants attract Sydney's hipsters. Linger on Crown Street then wander around the narrow little streets, including the lovely McElhone Place. The area is home to the Brett Whiteley Studio, the former studio of one of the greatest Australian painters of the 20C.
