North of Mission Bay, Pacific Beach is the liveliest and most pleasant beach on the coast and frequented by many young people. While windsurfers, catamarans and water skiers are out on the water, surfers wait for the waves. The waterfront promenade bustles with cyclists, rollerbladers, walkers and frisbee players, but people also come here for the joys of swimming and lounging on the sand.
