Don't leave Milwaukee without visiting the Harley-Davidson Museum, one of the finest and most fascinating museums in town. The place, built out of salvaged materials, is itself worth seeing, recreating a stylised designer industrial architecture. As for the content, it evokes not only the mythical brand, but also the history of the town, where the company came into being in 1903, and that of the whole country.
