This 1895 mansion, the former residence of an influential businessman and head of the Chinese community, mingles Chinese, Malaysian and European Art deco styles. You enter the immaculate garden through a porch. A red and gold mother-of-pearl screen adorns the large entrance hall, hiding living rooms furnished with works of art and family photos. The ballroom, bedrooms, painted ceilings and small Taoist altars make this abode one of the jewels of Medan.
