Descrizione
This futuristic, airy building, erected on the banks of Lake Shinji, is quite unmistakable. It showcases several collections of modern and contemporary art from Japan and the West, along with temporary exhibitions. Most of the works displayed are linked in some way to the theme of water: wooden sculptures, photographs and etchings, including the famous Views of Mount Fuji by Hokusai and The Steps on the Road by Hiroshige. Ideal to catch the sunset on the lake.
