The giant statue depicting a seated Maitreya Buddha with hands on knees is set in an immense park, dotted with temples, caves, pagodas and stone tablets, etc. It is an ideal spot for picnics. After a pleasant walk (steps), you will reach a terrace and can see the immense head of the Giant Buddha close up. The magnificent view embraces the meeting point of the three rivers, the historic town of Leshan and the impressive ear and shoulder of the Giant Buddha.
