Thousands of birds, aquatic plants and grazing buffalo are part of the landscape that awaits visitors who venture to these wetlands, paths and dikes covering almost 2,000ha. In October, the sight of some 40,000 cranes migrating is particularly breathtaking. A tourist train covers 5km through the puszta, but walking or cycling through the wetlands is a very good option.
