Descrizione
Housing over 825 canvases and 2,300 works on paper, this museum showcases nearly 95% of Clyfford Still's (1904-1980) production, leader of American abstract expressionism. In an austere building, you will see little-known paintings, notably some figurative work from his youth inspired by Cezanne and Malevitch. Still's most powerful works remain his monumental canvases painted in the 1940-60s, using huge swathes of color.
