Descrizione
One of the most powerful in Quebec and among the longest in the world (units spread over 864m), this is a run-of-river hydroelectric plant, meaning that it uses only the powerful flow of the St Lawrence River to produce energy. The visit takes you through the alternator room, control room and the roof, which offers an amazing sight, with Montreal and the St Lawrence River as a backdrop. Nearby, two impressive locks lift ships a total of 25m.
