This pretty little village in the upper Lot-et-Garonne, bordering the Dordogne, boasts a rich heritage. It is also home to this restaurant, in a large old building, with a young chef at the helm. Having worked in some fine establishments, he has a sure touch when it comes to preparing something like beef picanha, sourcing the tender, flavoursome meat from the village butcher and serving it with kale and chard from a market gardener in Monclar-de-Quercy. The chef seems to have a particular penchant for roasted notes such as coffee, in both the main course and the dessert.
