The estate is a working hacienda that is a sanctuary to a variety of animals in need of a temporary or a permanent home, including a pygmy monkey, owls, and dogs. The property is perfect for birdwatching as it sees a large variety of birds come through due to the area’s location on migratory routes. All guests have access to hammocks, chairs, and barbecue accommodations in addition to self-guided hiking. Volcan Baru National Park is within 15 kilometers.
