In a glacier landscape, this valley offers wonderful walking opportunities from the village of Vent. Beyond, the valley splits either side of the imposing Talleitspitze massif: to the right the Rofental runs by the Wildspitze massif and Hochvernagtspitze before being halted by the Weißkugel; to the left the Niedertal cuts its way along the foot of the Ramolkogel and the Schalfkogel before opening out onto the Similaun cirque. At over 3 000m, these peaks represent dream challenges for climbers.
