The House of Fishing is one of the largest residences in Bulla Regia. The mosaics in the basement have been damaged by saltpetre as these apartments are both dark and humid (4.40m below the ground floor). It is the coolest house here in summer, and tourists need little encouragement to visit it before heading back to the cauldron-like temperatures outside. The pavement of the triclinium, representing cupids fishing, has lent its name to this house.
