Nobody messes with sea lions here. This marine reserve has one of the largest colonies in Australia (1 000 of them). Much sought after by fishermen in the 19C, sea lions almost disappeared from Kangaroo Island before becoming one of the island's protected species. The classic visit allows you to survey the colony from purpose-built platforms. On the guided tour you get to walk along the beach, a close as possible to the animals.
