Further south, the coast of Ko Samet is much wilder in appearance. You'll need to take footpaths through the jungle to reach the beaches of Ao Wai, and then on to Ao Kiu Na Nok, a superb secluded stretch of sand near the southernmost point on the island (access is difficult: it's best to rent a boat in Ban Phe or to make your way by songthaew).
