This museum is housed in the Mining School, which has occupied the Hôtel de Vendôme since 1815. Its exhibits include precious stones, minerals, crystals and meteorites displayed in black light. This exceptional collection of 4 500 minerals, of the 100 000 specimens that the museum owns, is the fourth largest in the world. Since 2016, three displays have been dedicated to cut stones that are part of the French Crown Jewels. Quite dazzling, both literally and figuratively.
