Il parere della Guida Michelin
Since 1842 this building reminiscent of a Roman temple has stood on the site of New York City's very first City Hall (1699), which was transformed into the Federal Hall after Independence and hosted the first United States Congress. It is also where George Washington, the first president of the United States, was sworn in. When the government moved to Philadelphia, the building was turned into offices, and Customs and Treasury Services moved in. Today it is a memorial museum.
