Although the Nefta oasis is not as large as its neighbour Tozeur, it is still strikingly luxuriant. The oasis is fed by numerous springs which bubble up in a huge cirque in the northern part of the oasis, known as the Corbeille de Nefta (Nefta Gulley). Date palms grow here, cultivated for their delicious dates which are well worth sampling.
