Overlooking the bay of Marigot and the bay of Pompierre from a height of 136 m, Morne Morel is one of the highest mountains in the Saintes archipelago. Littered with solidified clouds of fire, its northern part bears witness to ancient volcanic activity. The yellow-marked path climbs quite steeply and soon dominates the bay. The climb continues through savannah and dry forest to the morne. From here, you can push on to Pointe Zozio and retrace your steps before descending towards the town to Pompierrea beach, the most pleasant on the island.
