This coral "castle" has no drawbridge or old bailey, but is instead made up of an unusual collection of sculptures. A Latvian immigrant by the name of Edward Leedskalnin took about 20 years to carve his masterpiece out of more than 1 100t of coral rock. The result of his labours is a phantasmagorical landscape of eerie beauty. It is worth coming to admire the massive and astonishing achievements on this site, which is on the prestigious National Inventory of American Historic Sites.
