This was once a popular spot for angling, thanks to waters that were teeming with cutthroat trout, but fishing was banned in 1973 to protect the spawning of the fish and to allow bears to forage undisturbed. The Fishing Bridge Visitor Center boasts fine exhibitions on the birds found in the national park near the shores of Yellowstone Lake.
