The Gothic church of St Stephen's, built in the late 13C and severely damaged in 1945, has been almost entirely rebuilt. The chancel is decorated with a remarkable set of stained-glass windows by Chagall depicting subjects from the Old and New Testaments. Against the south wall is a cloister whose vaults illustrate the virtuosity of the late Gothic period.
