Boasting six towers, this "rural fortress" was erected in the 15C around a Romanesque basilica, built by Cistercian monks in the late 13C and retaining traces of wall paintings. Although somewhat eclipsed by its counterpart at Prejmer, this charming monument has a poignant simplicity.
