The hill of Sacromonte rises alongside the Albayzín area, opposite the Generalife. This troglodyte neighbourhood, traditionally home to the Roma community, is now partially abandoned. It still has caves where zambra shows are held - a type of flamenco with a "gypsy" flavour. At night it is safer to take a taxi to get around these parts.
