This complex has three parts: the mayor's office (Raadhuis), the Wanthuis (giving onto Polstraat) and the Landshuis, the attractive brick façade of which (1632) is crowned by pinnacles. Several paintings of guilds from the 17C and 18C are on display in the foyer. One room on the first floor of the town hall contains a beautiful canvas by Gerard ter Borch: The Council of Magistrates (De Magistraat van Deventer), painted in 1667.
