In the Cares Gorges (Garganta del Cares), from the lookout to the right, soon after Carreña de Cabrales, you can glimpse the fang-shaped Naranjo de Bulnes (2 519m), or Pic Uriellu; it is not the highest, but it is the most well-known of the Picos de Europa. There are numerous walks starting at Poncebos and Bulnes, where a funicular affords fine views.
