Park at the tourist post just after the bridge and go down several steps to get closer to the 126m-high wall of the dam. The Drac canyon, 200m deep and in places no more than 7m wide, can contain up to 115 million cubic metres of water. The dam has created a magnificent lake on the border of the Dévoluy, Beaumont and Champsaur regions.
