This immense, pleasant zoo is home to animals from all over the world. Colourful butterflies and birds inhabit the tropical greenhouse, while the prehistoric park recreates the scenery of Western Canada as it might have looked during the time of the dinosaurs. The Canadian Wilds section introduces visitors to the different habitats of the Canadian West. The zoo is involved in the protection of the endangered whooping crane, a specimen of which can be seen here.
