Although enjoyable all year round, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, which lies to the north-east of Prospect Park, is particularly spectacular in the spring when it's 220 Japanese cherry trees (April) and remarkable rose gardens (June) are in full bloom. The Steinhardt Conservatory greenhouses are home to aquatic plants, orchids and to tropical and desert plants.
