Overlooking Bregenz, the summit of the Pfänder (1,064m), which is accessible on foot or by cable car, commands an impressive view of part of the Alps. The range also boasts an Alpine wildlife park that is home to marmots, mouflons and wild boar. The footpath to the top is relatively easy, albeit quite stony, and dotted with inns.
