This is an easy family stroll (1h 45min on foot), heading initially along the eastern shore at the foot of the austere pointed pyramid of the Hohes Rad. The route is dotted with pleasant waterfalls and plenty of rhododendrons. The return journey takes in the western shore, dominated by Lobspitze. This walk offers splendid views, notably of Schattenspitze to the south, the Kloster Valley (Tällispitze and Sonntagspitze) to the southwest, Hochmaderer to the west and the Vallüla massif to the north.
