The imposing 13C Seljuk caravanserai of Sari Han stands in an isolated location in the middle of the steppe. Restored with stone taken from the original quarry, the building is aptly named (sari means "yellow"), especially at sunset when the last rays of sunshine fall on the plateau, turning the limestone to gold and creating an unforgettable sight.
