Nicholas Rockox was a friend of Rubens. This humanist Burgomaster of Antwerp loved collecting works of art. His 17C house was restored and transformed into a museum. Here, you will find some magnificent furniture ("Ribbanken" sideboards and ebony cabinets), fine ceramics and a large collection of paintings (Patinir, Van Dyck, Jordaens, Teniers the Younger, Rubens, De Momper, Snyders, Bruegel the Younger).
