The old hospital buildings surround an inner courtyard and house a museum dedicated to the history of the town and region, and to a handful of local celebrities: the priest Daens, writer Louis Paul Boon and landscape painter Valerius de Saedeleer. The carnival and contemporary art are not overlooked.
