Ralph Kollnitzer – a familiar name in the region – cooks up a storm here in the fine dining restaurant of the small Hotel Aldershoff by the Lavant. The space has a modern decor with light wood and pops of green; the service is friendly. A surprise menu is available in a four-, six- or eight-course format. Aromatic dishes made using regional ingredients are testament to the chef's creativity and his ties to his roots in Carinthia: think smoked trout with Grantnschleck (cranberry cream). The evening menu is also served in the café. During the day, breakfast and a simpler lunch menu are up for grabs.
