Just outside of San José del Cabo, this farm to table, open-air restaurant is the showpiece of Chef Guillermo J. Gómez, who displays his affection for local ingredients on a menu divided by garden, sea, roots, and live fire. Begin with bread crafted from blue corn and organic whole wheat then grilled over a live fire and set with a puree of seasonal vegetables. Appetizers are equally enticing, as in the yellowtail jack that's gently grilled, then sliced sashimi-style and served with a coconut aguachile and plantain puree. Berkshire pig "Matamabre" with toasted sweet corn and poblano chili stew is just one of the alluring main dishes at this garden oasis where a laidback ambience adds to the experience.
