The Crown changed ownership in 2022 and, to the relief of many, is once again in the hands of a more than capable owner-chef, in this case Dominic Chapman, who also runs The Beehive at White Waltham. The rewarding, flavoursome dishes – like the delicious potted chicken and duck liver parfait with fig chutney – are a perfect match for the warm and comforting surroundings.
