Il parere della Guida Michelin
Shimogamo Saryo began as a water-wheel teahouse on the approach to Shimogamo Shrine in the late 19th century; hence the name, which means ‘Shimogamo tearoom’. Traditionally crafted accoutrements and the garden are beautiful, and the dining hall and private rooms on the upper floor afford views over the Takano River and the Hiei Range beyond. The chef advocates the principle of ‘dosan-doho’: local ingredients prepared the local way. Pamper your tastebuds with traditional Kyoto cooking.
