Wildwood is set on a rare exotic fruit orchard, in the heart of Cape Tribulation. Guests have exclusive access to the orchard and can freely explore the 800+ trees on the property, picking and sampling any of the fruits in season. All rooms provide access to a landscaped garden and fire pits for guests to cook out under the stars. The cabins also overlook a creek which runs seasonally with the rains. Wildwood backs onto national wet tropics protected rainforest, some of it over 1,000 years old. There is a 60 minute self-guided walk through the rainforest which leads from the back of the cabins, and it is a spectacular walk through fan palm galleries and a diverse range of plants and trees up the hillside and across the ridge. This is one of the few rainforest walks that you can do in the Daintree region which is unguided and not on boardwalks.
